Speech therapy where everyday life happens
Communication is a basic human right. Everyone has the right to a way of expressing themselves and being understood that works for them, whatever their starting point.
Therapy in the client's own environment
Puheapaja offers speech therapy for people of all ages. Therapy takes place, for example, at home, in daycare or at school. Skills learned in a familiar setting transfer most naturally into everyday life.
Guiding the people around the client, such as parents, teachers and carers, is an essential part of rehabilitation. The best results come when practice continues between therapy visits.

What happens in speech therapy?
Speech and language rehabilitation
In children and young people: specific language difficulties, unclear speech and challenges in interaction. In adults: for example, difficulties after a neurological illness.
AAC – ways to support speech
Pictures, supporting signs and signed speech are part of my daily work. A way to communicate that works can be found for everyone.
Eating difficulties
Children's eating difficulties, such as selective eating or trouble swallowing, are part of speech therapy.
Remote therapy
When a visit in person is not possible, therapy and guidance also work over a remote connection.
