Hilkka Kemppainen
Speech therapist, Turku and Southwest Finland
About me
I offer speech therapy in Finnish and Swedish in the Southwest Finland area. Guidance for the close circle is also possible in English. At the moment most of my clients are children and young people with speech, language and interaction difficulties.
I find it important to create a confidential and positive atmosphere with the client and the people close to them. In my work I use communication methods that support or replace speech every day, such as pictures and signs.
Licensed speech therapist
I am a speech therapist licensed by the Finnish Valvira (the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health), Master of Arts, and graduated from Åbo Akademi in Turku. Details of my right to practise can be found in the JulkiTerhikki register. The company has a valid patient insurance and a self-monitoring plan, and is listed in the supervised Soteri register.
Kela-approved provider
Puheapaja has a provider agreement with Kela for demanding medical rehabilitation. Approval as a provider requires that the operation meets the requirements of Kela's service description for expertise, working methods and quality.
Expertise
I update my skills regularly. I have specialised in, among other things, rehabilitation of developmental language disorder, autism, AAC methods, speech motor skills and hearing rehabilitation.
Member of Kuntoutusyrittäjät
Puheapaja is a member company of Kuntoutusyrittäjät (the Finnish association of rehabilitation entrepreneurs), which shows a commitment to the ethical principles of the private rehabilitation sector and to developing quality.
